At Studio L Dance Center, our competition team is dedicated to nurturing young dancers’ talents while instilling core values of dedication, teamwork, and artistic expression. Our mission is to provide a supportive environment where dancers can thrive and reach their full potential. We believe in the transformative power of dance to build confidence and foster self-discipline, preparing our dancers for success both on and off the stage.
Our team is committed to excellence, encouraging each dancer to push their boundaries and achieve personal growth. What It Takes to Compete

Joining the Studio L Dance Center competition team requires a one-year commitment to ensure consistent growth and development. Participants are expected to attend regular rehearsals and participate in scheduled competitions throughout the year. 

There are 4 mandatory, local competitions, and 1 mandatory convention for ages 6 and up. There is also 1 mandatory Nationals (June/July) at the end of the season; we travel out of state for Nationals every other year.  This commitment not only enhances technical abilities but also instills a strong sense of responsibility and dedication.

The competitors’ required classes are selected by staff, with Ballet, Tap and extra Technique classes as staples. By being part of our team, dancers learn to balance their passion for dance with their academic and personal lives, preparing them for future challenges.
